Harry Godfrey is an artist born and raised in South London. Primarily a filmmaker, performance artist and supermodel of the world, his work is often focused around the ideas of performed personality, camp and drag aesthetics (sexuality and gender), and an unrelenting obsession with himself. His undying for passion for British reality tv shows and popular culture are major influences in how the characters he presents in his work are formed and expressed.
Harry's gender and sexuality is always at the centre of his work, constantly exploring 'female' identity through his varying characters, using wigs, make-up, masks, or other drag inspired visuals and methods. His love for the bombastic and absurd constructs artwork that can make you laugh yet uncomfortable at the same time. Chaotic and D.I.Y aesthetics are also a recurring theme in his practice.
